Bans & Appeals
Moderators may issue bans for repeated or serious rule violations.
Types of bans
- Temporary ban — you're restricted from posting for a set duration (e.g., 1 day, 7 days, 30 days). You can still read content.
- Permanent ban — your posting privileges are removed indefinitely.
Bans can be scoped to a specific space, an entire hub, or the whole community, depending on the moderator's role and the severity of the violation.
During a ban
While banned, you can still:
- Read all public content
- View your own profile and settings
You cannot:
- Post or reply
- React to posts
- Create new discussions
Appeals
If you believe a ban was issued in error, you can appeal by contacting the community moderators through the channels they provide (typically listed on the community's rules page or moderator page). Appeals are reviewed by moderators at or above the level that issued the ban.
