Privacy & Data
Snakk gives you control over your privacy and how your data is used.
Privacy settings
Visit Settings > Privacy to configure:
- Profile visibility — who can see your profile information
- Activity visibility — whether your recent activity is shown on your profile
- Online status — whether others can see when you're active
Your data
Snakk stores:
- Your account information (email, display name, avatar)
- Your posts and replies
- Your votes, reactions, and follows
- Session data for authentication
Embed preferences
Some content on Snakk includes embedded media from third-party providers (YouTube, Spotify, etc.). You can control which providers are allowed to load in Settings > Integrations. When a provider is disabled, you'll see a placeholder instead of the embed.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from Settings > Account. This removes your profile information. Your posts may be retained with your display name anonymized, depending on community settings.
