Embed Preferences

Link discussions and some post content include embedded media from third-party providers. Snakk lets you control which providers are allowed to load.

Supported providers

Snakk supports oEmbed previews from: YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Twitter/X, Bluesky, Reddit, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Twitch, Imgur, CodePen, and Canva.

Managing preferences

Visit Settings > Integrations to toggle individual providers on or off. When a provider is disabled:

• The embed won't load (no network request to the provider)
• A placeholder is shown instead with a button to load it on demand
• Your preference is remembered across sessions

Privacy considerations

Embedded content loads directly from the third-party provider, which means they can see your IP address and may set cookies. Disabling providers you don't trust prevents this entirely.

Default behavior

All providers are enabled by default. You can disable any or all of them at any time.
