Event phases
IAMAs progress through phases:
| Phase | Description |
|---|---|
| Announced | Event is scheduled but hasn't started yet. A countdown timer is shown. |
| Live | The event is active. Questions can be asked and answered. |
| Closed | The event has ended. Existing answers remain, but new questions are discouraged. |
| Archived | The event is fully concluded and preserved for future reading. |
Official answers
The guest (or moderators) can mark specific replies as official answers. These are highlighted visually so readers can distinguish the guest's responses from community discussion. Moderators can also highlight best questions to help readers find the most interesting exchanges.
Verification
The verification note is displayed on the event page so community members can confirm the guest's identity. This could be a link to a social media post, a photo with a timestamp, or any other form of proof.
