Creating an Account

You can create a Snakk account in two ways: with an email address and password, or by signing in with an OAuth provider.

Email registration

1. Click Sign Up in the top navigation bar
2. Enter a display name, email address, and password
3. Complete the verification challenge
4. You're in — you can start posting immediately

Your display name is how other users see you. You can change it later in your profile settings.

OAuth sign-in

Snakk supports signing in with:

• Google
• GitHub
• Discord

Click the provider you want, authorize the connection, and your account is created automatically. If it's your first time, you'll be prompted to choose a display name.

Profile setup

After creating your account, visit your profile settings to:

• Write a bio
• Upload a custom avatar (or keep the generated one)
• Set your timezone
• Configure notification and privacy preferences
